Size: 35 cm in diameter x 6,5 cm in width.
Gauge: The wreath has one gauge, whilst the bow has another:
- Wreath: 26 sts x 38 rows = 10 x 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch, at needle size 3 mm (after washing).
- Bow: 16 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch, at needle size 5 mm (after washing).
Needle sizes: One needle size is used for the wreath, and another is used for the bow:
- Wreath (if Magic Loop is used): 2 sets of circular needles 3 mm (length 60 cm is recommended).
- Wreath (if double pointed needles are used): 1 set of double pointed needles 3 mm.
- Bow: 2 sets of circular needles 5 mm (length 80 cm is recommended).
Yarn: The green wreath is knitted with 2 threads held together, whilst the bow is knitted with 4 threads held together:
- Colour A (wreath), 1st thread: “Alpaca 2”, in colour “Thyme”, Isager (250 m per 50g).
- Colour A (wreath), 2nd thread: “Silk mohair”, in colour “68”, Isager (212 m per 25g).
- Colour B (bow), 1st + 2nd thread: “Alpaca 2”, in colour “21”, Isager (250 m per 50g).
- Colour B (bow), 3rd + 4th thread: “Silk Mohair”, in colour “32”, Isager (212 m per 25g).
Amount: The following amounts of yarn are used for the wreath and bow:
- Colour A (wreath), 1st thread: 50g.
- Colour A (wreath), 2nd thread: 25g.
- Colour B (bow), 1st + 2nd thread: 50g in total.
- Colour B (bow), 3rd + 4th thread: 50g in total.
Materials: The following materials must be used, to create the holiday wreath:
- 1 styrofoam wreath, 35 cm x 6,5 cm.
- 60 pins.
- 30 Baroque freshwater pearls, approx 10-12 mm in diameter.
- 30 Baroque freshwater pearls, approx 4-5 mm in diameter.
Tools: The following tools must be used, to create the holiday wreath:
- Darning needle.
- scissors.
- Stanley knife.
- Marker.
Method: The holiday wreath is created by following these steps:
- Step 1: The green wreath is made.
- Step 2: The red bow is knitted.
- Step 3: The bow is joined to the wreath.
- Step 4: The baroque pearls are added to the wreath.
